AS A SOPHOMORE (2002): Shared most of the starting time in the circle, along with freshman Ashley Boek ... Pac-10 honorable mention selection ... led the Huskies in wins (20), strikeouts (172), complete games (11) and innings pitched (184) ... set a UW and Pac-10 single-season record for most saves with seven, after not recording any as a freshman ... finished second in the Pac-10 in ERA with a 0.97 mark in 19 appearances ... six saves in conference games ... nine wins over teams ranked in the top 25 ... did not allow a home run for 169 consecutive innings, from May 19, 2001 to May 4, 2002 ... did not allow a triple all season ... fanned a career-best 12 batters in a 4-0 win over UNLV in early March, becoming the first UW pitcher since Jennifer Spediacci in 2000 to reach double digits ... also had 10 strikeouts against Portland State ... earned Pac-10 Pitcher of the Week honors after beginning the season with a 5-0 record, which included wins over three ranked teams ... complete-game victory against Fresno State at the Kia Klassic ... surrendered only one hit in four innings, tallying six strikeouts in the opener of a two-game series with Santa Clara on March 24 ... recorded her first career save in the second game with the Broncos ... pitched three innings of shutout ball to earn the win in UW's 9-6 upset of No. 1 UCLA ... pitched a scoreless seventh inning for her second save in the 3-0 victory at home versus Stanford ... fanned four batters in two innings of relief, while giving up only one hit in the 1-0 Husky win over Oregon State on April 21 ... did not allow an earned run in three straight Pac-10 games from April 26-28, coming away with a win and a save ... picked up two more saves in the doubleheader with Arizona on May 11 ... retired the final batter in the first game, and then got the team out of a bases loaded jam in the second game ... picked up an 8-0 shutout victory over Oakland in the NCAA Regional Tournament, striking out five batters in four innings of work.
AS A FRESHMAN (2001): Earned 36 of the team's 40 wins, en route to third team All-America honors ... just the third true freshman in UW history to be named an All-American ... named the 2001 Pac-10 Newcomer of the Year after leading the conference in innings pitched (261.0), wins and appearances (50) ... first team All-Pac-10 and second team All-Region ... set three UW season records and was second in both appearances and strikeouts (260) ... earned a win in her first career start versus New Mexico State ... career-best nine strikeouts three times ... opened the season with a five-game win streak, combining for a pair of one-hitters against Texas Tech and Maryland ... did not allow a hit in five innings of work versus Hofstra ... threw two complete-games, one-hitters versus Southern Mississippi and Tenn.-Chattanooga ... did not give up a walk in 18 appearances, while not allowing an extra base hit in 31 outings ... did not allow an earned run in a career-best 33.0 consecutive innings from April 20-28 ... WITH USA SOFTBALL: One of four Huskies invited to the USA Softball Women's National team camp in late May 2001 ... member of the USA Blue team, appearing in eight games, with a 4-0 record and 42 strikeouts in 28 innings ... one of three UW players invited to the women's national team camp in Chula Vista, Calif., in January 2002.
HIGH SCHOOL: Earned four letters in softball and water polo and one in golf at Mater Dei High School ... Gatorade National Player of the Year, leading her school to a No. 3 ranking as a senior ... NFCA high school All-American, finishing her senior campaign with a 30-2 record, a 0.03 ERA and nearly 400 strikeouts ... 26 of her 30 wins were shutouts, including four no-hitters and two perfect games, while allowing one earned run in just over 230 innings ... CIF and Serra League Player of the Year honors as a senior ... four-time All-CIF, All-League and All-State ... played summer ball for Gordon's Panthers, helping the team to the 1998 ASA 18-and-under gold national championship ... Gordon's Panthers also finished second at the 1999 national tournament ... ASA All-America honors in 1999 and 1997 as a member of the Athletics Gold.
