WASHINGTON
1998 (Junior): A team captain, McCoy was one of the Huskies' most consistent defenders...named to the All-MPSF second team...started the final 17 games after missing the first three with an injury...assisted on four goals for the Huskies, all versus MPSF competition...the injury, plus the performance of several offensive stars, limited his point production, as 1998 was the first season of his career in which he did not tally a goal...of his eight career goals, five have been game-winners...has started in all but one game in which he has played throughout his career...voted team's Most Inspirational Player.
1997 (Sophomore): Started in each of the 19 games he played...netted two goals, both game-winners...sealed Stanford's fate in overtime of the NCAA first round by sliding the ball under the Cardinal keeper at 92:35...also had the winner against St. Mary's...assisted on Rees Bettinger's game-winner against Portland...participated in the adidas Summer League.
1996 (Freshman): Started 16 of the 17 games in which he played...first career goal was the game-winner at Portland...recorded two multiple-point games...had four points (1G, 2A) at Marquette and five points (2G, 1A) vs. Sacramento State...scored three game-winning goals, including against UCLA in the NIKE Husky Classic title match...third on the team with 17 points and six goals...tied for sixth in assists in MPSF Mountain Division with five...also tied for seventh in goals and eighth in points...honorable mention selection to all-MPSF team.
1995: Redshirted his first season as a Husky.
CLUB/HIGH SCHOOL
Started on the state Olympic Development team in 1994 and 1995...earned three letters under coach Sully Hester as a defender and midfielder while playing for Woodinville High School...named all-KingCo as a senior and team MVP as a junior and senior...led Woodinville to KingCo championship his senior year with a 12-1 record...also named all-KingCo second team in 1994 and honorable mention in 1993...earned State Cup MVP and his team's Most Inspirational award in his final season.
