2001 (Senior):Should see significant playing time at center blocker, along with classmate Lisa Underhill ... made the successful transition from outside to the middle during her junior season ... an excellent all-around player, Richardson is one of the team's top serve receivers and servers ... adds excitement to the game ... ability to hit a wide variety of sets ... above average defensive player, who gets her hands on a lot of balls.
2000 (Junior): Moved mid-season from outside to the middle ... one of five Huskies to appear in all 27 matches ... earned Pac-10 all-academic honors for the second straight season ... tied for second in blocks per game (0.82) with teammate Paige Benjamin ... fourth on the team in kills per game (2.81), third in aces (18) and digs per game (2.31) ... began the season with three double-doubles in the first four matches ... had 13 kills and 10 digs versus Drake, 17 kills and 12 blocks at New Mexico and 11 kills and 13 digs against Texas-San Antonio ... reached double-digits in both kills and digs with 14 each at California ... played final 10 matches at quick hitter ... found great success in the middle, averaging 4.03 kills per game on .317 hitting with 2.61 digs per game and 1.06 blocks per game over that span ... first game at quick hitter came October 21 at Arizona State, where she hit a career-best .619 (14-1-21) with 13 digs and three blocks, including two solo efforts ... almost matched her effort a match later at Washington State, hitting .591 with 14 kills and only one error to go along with 11 digs ... had a career night versus Stanford in Seattle on November 2 ... sparked the Huskies with a career-best 24 kills on .375 hitting ... added 12 digs and a career-high seven blocks versus the Cardinal ... continued to produce offensively during the month of November, tallying 18 kills twice versus California and in a five-game win at Oregon State ... finished her junior campaign with 13 kills, three service aces and 13 digs in sweep of Gonzaga.
1999 (Sophomore): One of the Huskies' primary hitters as well as their top serve receiver and server, Richardson played a major role on the 1999 squad ... saw action in all but one of the Huskies' 90 games ... posted double-digit kills in 16 of 26 matches and had 10 or more digs nine times ... second on the team in kills and digs and first in aces with 35 ... finished fourth in the Pac-10 with 0.39 aces per game ... notched career-high 21 kills to go with 15 digs vs. Wisconsin on Sept. 24 ... later that same day, recorded 14 kills, a .323 hitting percentage, four aces and 16 digs in a win over Illinois State ... the four aces and 16 digs were both career highs ... had an excellent match in a quick, 3-0 win over St. Mary's, hitting .611 (12-1-18) with 10 digs ... that match started a stretch of six straight matches with 12 or more kills ... high kills match during that string came Sept. 24 at Oregon, when she had 19 ... hit .524 (12-1-21) with nine digs Oct. 23 vs. Oregon ... had an outstanding match vs. Arizona on Nov. 5, posting 20 kills, three aces, 10 digs and six blocks, a career-high ... closed out the season by tying her kills high against Cal, recording 21 to go with 15 digs ... received honorable mention Pac-10 All-Academic.
1998 (Freshman): Played in 21 matches and 59 games as a swing hitter ... broke into the starting lineup at the start of the Pac-10 season and was a semi-regular starter down the stretch ... top match was in the final Pac-10 weekend at ASU ... in that match, had 10 kills and no errors on 15 attempts to go with a season-high five blocks ... hit 7-1-10 (.600) vs. Oregon on Oct. 9 ... had season-high 13 digs in the home win over WSU Sept. 25.
HEMET HIGH SCHOOL
Earned three volleyball letters at Hemet High ... team captain of the Orange County Volleyball Club ... named first-team all-league and all-CIF as a senior, when she was her high school team's captain and most valuable player ... named Lion's Club Athlete of the Month for three straight months as a senior ... also named all-league and team MVP as a junior and all-league as a junior ... also earned one letter each in basketball and softball ... won a scholar-athlete award in each of her high school years ... won outstanding student awards covering eight different subjects.
