Born March 10, 1980, in Seattle . . . daughter of Jill Rain and Charlie Shivachi . . . mother attended the UW . . . has an older brother, Brighton, also a UW student . . . a pre-sciences major at Washington.

1999 (RS-Freshman): After spending the last season as a red-shirt, she enters the 1999 season as the top candidate to play the No. 2 quick hitter spot ... hopes to be the latest in the Huskies' recent line of outstanding middles.
1998 (Freshman): Red-shirted her first season at the UW.
LOPEZ ISLAND HIGH SCHOOL
Earned three varsity letters in volleyball under coach David Chicobsky at Lopez Island, a class "B" school in the San Juan Islands . . . named her team's best blocker and hitter all three seasons . . . led team to a combined record of 54-11 over her last two seasons . . . won state "B" title as a junior and finished third as a senior . . . as a senior, team MVP, co-captain and all-state . . . also earned four letters each in basketball and track . . . led the state (B schools) in rebounding two times and was team MVP as a senior . . . went to state three times . . . threw shot, javelin and discus and also high jumped.
