Huskies Earn Some Hardware in San Diego
The Washington novice eight boat took first in a wire-to-wire finish in the Women's Collegiate Novice Grand Final on the second day of the San Diego Crew Classic on Mission Bay. The Huskies raced in a total of four grand finals on Sunday, earning two third-place finishes by the 2V8 and V4, and a fifith-place finish by the varsity eight.
High School:Earned a varsity letter in rowing ... Won the Lianne Rice Award. Competed on the USA Paralympic Rowing Team at the 2012 London Paralymics.
Husky Rowing Experience: 2013 (Freshman)Took home a gold medal rowing seven seat for the Novice 8 at the Pac-12 Championships...Rowed three seat for the winning Novice 8 at the Windermere Cup Regatta...Rowed three seat for the Novice 8 shell that placed first at the Cal Dual...Rowed three seat for the Freshmen "A" shell at the WSU Dual...Rowed three seat for the women's freshman class in the Seattle Times Women's Eight at the Class Day Regatta 2013...Rowed three seat forthe winning shell in the Novice Grand Final, who took home the Laurel V. Korholz Perpetual Trophy at the San Diego Crew Classic.
