Duggan arrived in Seattle from Ann Arbor where she had served as the volunteer coach for the Wolverines in 2006. Duggan, a 2005 graduate of Michigan, earned her degree in sports management and communications.
As a senior at the University of Michigan, Duggan lettered and was named a Second Team All-Big Ten Conference selection, an Academic All-American and an All-Big Ten Academic honoree. Duggan spent her first three years of college at Central Michigan University, where she was the MAC Champion on vault as a freshman and a NACGC Academic All-American.
"She is a great young coach who interacts well with the girls and really knows how to teach," said Bowers in 2006. "She is a Canadian who will play an important role in helping to recruit Canada also. [David, Shanna and I] are very excited to be able to work together and to be able to be at a great school like the University of Washington."
