I can't even explain how many amazing changes our team has gone through in these last few months - the overall feeling when I walk into the gym everyday for practice, seeing how hard everyone is working, is getting me super-excited for the season to start. With only a couple weeks of pre-season left our team is definitely "all on board the train."
Last week's intrasquad was a great way to give us all some perspective on where we are with our routines, and to see how we work under pressure. Thanks to Amy Brandle and her great camera skills, we had an awesome opportunity to watch and learn from our routines at the intrasquad.
The beginning of Tuesday's practice was spent carefully going over everyone's routines and seeing where the improvements can be made. Tuesday's workout was also cut a little bit short for a special event that night. A bunch of us had volunteered to spend some time at Children's Hospital for about three hours with some pretty special kids. We all had a great time drawing Christmas pictures with them and cooking with plastic food. One of the night's highlights was catching Celia having a little too much fun with the bubbles :. Thanks a lot to Jenni and Kristen for organizing everything.
Back in the gym, not only have routines been getting more consistent, but certain skills that may not have been ready for the intrasquad are being put into action. There has been a lot more twisting on vault, and some big tumbling happening on floor. So there's definitely going to be some impressive gymnastics from the Gym Dawgs this upcoming season. Look out Bruins, here we come!
