Classes started this past week and everyone is getting back into the groove of things. Having a break was nice, but I think most of us were excited to start new classes. This puts a little stress on us, but everyone handled the first week well.
This past weekend we made a trip to UCLA. After being delayed on the plane because the engine wouldn't start and driving the wrong way out of the airport we finally made it to our hotel at three in the morning.
Before the meet some of us had a chance to walk to the beach and dip our feet in the ocean. It was really sunny and I even had to pull out the sunglasses! Everyone on the team was able travel and having everyone there really gave us a chance to bond.
The first meet is out of the way and I think we got some nerves out. It didn't go as well as we may have wanted it to go, but everyone has to remember this is just a starting point. Even though we had some interesting falls, like Kelly's butt bounce on the beam, we did well mentally and kept our heads up.
Now that we got UCLA out of the way and our nerves out we are going to go into the gym and work hard to be consistent and have a good attitude.
