Husky Rowing Experience: 1998 (Freshman): Rowed in the two seat in the freshman eight that finished second in its grand final at the IRAs ... second at Pac-10s and San Diego ... won Windermere Cup race ... 1999 (Sophomore): Rowed in the six seat on JV eight ... finished second in grand final at the IRAs ... second at Pac-10s and San Diego ... winner at Canadian Henley in intermediate pairs ... 2000 (Junior): Rowed all season in six seat in JV eight ... helped lead crew to a bronze at IRAs and a second place finish at Pac-10s ... won Cascade Cup on Opening Day and led Huskies to a win over Cal in the annual dual regatta ... crew also won gold medal, by four seconds, at San Diego.
Personal: Son of Claudia and Robert Huey ... older brother Matt attended UW ... mother graduated from Illinois and is a travel agent ... father is a land surveyor.

My best race was: Winning at the Canadian Henley as a junior in the pair and winning in San Diego last year.
After I graduate: Travel Europe and do things that people do when they graduate.
If I could tell my incoming teammates one thing, it would be: Always work your hardest at everything you choose to be a part of.
