Husky Rowing Experience: 2002 (Junior): Squad member. 2001 (Sophomore):Squad member. 2000 (Freshman): Stroked the freshman eight all season and helped lead UW to a silver medal at the IRA Championships ... finished second at Pac-10 Championships ... won gold medal on Opening Day and led Huskies to a five-second win over Cal in the annual dual regatta ... also won a gold medal at San Diego Crew Classic.
Personal: Son of Betsy and George Grant ... mother is a flight attendant and father is an insurance agent ... has an older brother, George (34), who attended Boston College, and a younger brother, Brian (16) ... has two sisters, Sarah (32), an artist, and Elizabeth (14).
I chose Washington because: It had everything I was looking for in a school.
