1999 (Freshman) - After a rough start, settled in and finished his first season in fine form ... made 13 appearances on the year, including one start, and didn't allow an earned run in his final seven appearances (nine and two-thirds innings) ... got no decision in a strong start vs. Portland, working five innings and allowing no runs on three htis and a strikeout ... struck out three batters in 1.1 no-hit innings at USC on May 14 ... spent the summer playing for the Mankato (Minn.) Muskrats in the Northwoods League.
