2012 Women's Soccer Preview: Defenders
The defenders on the 2012 squad will be the most experienced line on the field.
High School/Club
Four-year letterwinner at Fairview High School in Boulder, Colo. and team captain her senior season... Her freshman year, the team finished first in the District and Region and then finished fourth in the State. The next year they finished first at all three levels, winning the 5A State Championship and earned a No. 11 national ranking... Earned the Semper Fi Award after overcoming an ACL tear her junior year. She then helped lead her team to another first-place finish at the District and Regional level... Finished second in the 5A State Championship as a senior... Played Club soccer for the Boulder County Force for nine years, where she was named MVP and Team Captain in 2008 and 2009... Competed in the 2010 and 2011 Surf Cup in San Diego, Calif., and the 2011 Regionals in Idaho... Won the 2010 State Cup Championship and reached the finals of the Disney Showcase in Florida in 2010-11... Also lettered in swimming her senior year, qualifying for State in the 100 back, 100 fly, 200 free relay and 200 medley relay... Member of the Fairview High School Student Council.

Parents are Bruce and Becky Gamble... Bruce was a three-time All-American skier at Colorado and Becky was an All-American in tennis at Texas... Brother Beau plays basketball at Colorado
Coach Gallimore on Gamble: "Berk adds to our depth on the backline," said Gallimore. "She's a solid and steady defender who could also play wide or central. She is a skillful passer and has a good feel for the game.
