DIRECTIONS

UW at WSU

Directions to Wawawai Landing: From Highway 195 (North or South), turn west on Wawawai Road at the blinking yellow light. Travel on Wawawai Road for 10 miles, the road will end at a stop sign. Turn right and drive six miles down into the canyon. Go past the county park on the right and over the railroad tracks. The boathouse is a cinderblock building on the right. Park on the side of the road or in the parking lot south of the boathouse.  From Pullman Take Davis Way out of Pullman towards Colfax (becomes highway 270). Turn left onto US 195 South. Take the first right onto WA 194 W/Wawawai Road. Drive 10 then turn right onto Wawawai Road/Wawawai Grade Road. Drive five (5) miles then continue onto WA 193 E/Wawawai River Road. Wawawai County Park will be on your right. Approximately one (1) mile further will be the boathouse at Wawawai Landing.

Arrival and parking: There is a new and lower speed limit (construction) on I-5 at Eugene-Springfield. The Willamette-pass tunnel is closed many evenings and one-way at other times. State of Oregon residents - remember to carry your endangered species permits. There will be parking at the park only for trailers and buses on Saturday and Sunday. Parking on Pengra Road is illegal (park in Lowell, ride the shuttle or walk).

Racing: Most, but not all, races are on 10-minute centers. Read the schedule carefully. There will be stake boats for the 4 noon-time races only (OSU vs UW).
