SEATTLE - After a historic season for the Washington women's golf team, freshman SooBin Kim was named honorable mention All-American by Golfweek.
Kim led Mary Lou Mulflur's Husky squad with a 73.59 scoring average during her first year at Washington -- an average that ranks as the second all-time lowest in UW history. She earned one victory during the season by shooting a school record low of 200 (-13) at the Stanford Intercollegiate in October.
In all, Kim had five top-10's during the season and had rounds in the 60's four times. She earned second-team All-Pac-12 accolades after being Washington's top finisher in six of 12 events.
Kim ended the year ranked 49th by Golfweek.com/Sagarin, 46th by Golfstat.com and 126th in the World Amateur Golf Rankings.
