Graber To Join Huskies In 2013

April 18, 2012
SEATTLE - Head gymnastics coach Joanne Bowers announced the addition of Kiersten Graber who signed a national letter of intent to attend UW and compete beginning in the fall of 2012.
Graber hails from Prescott, Ariz., where she trains with the Arizona Dreams, coached by Heather Davis, Summer Andrew and Bob Hoyt.
She is graduating high school a year early and is the top 10% of her class. She was Vice President of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, student body president and a member of the National Honor Society.
In the gym, she was named Gymnast of the Year and team captain. So far in 2012, she finished third in the all-around at the Arizona State Meet. In 2011, she won three vault titles and a beams title. In 2010, she won four vault titles, one bars title and one all-around title.
"We are thrilled to welcome Kiersten to our gymnastics family," said Bowers. "She is an amazing young woman, with high standards in every aspect of her life. She is a perfect fit for current team. Kiersten will help our program right away on vault and floor, but has potential to help us in the all-around with some additional training. With the addition of Kiersten, our 2012 class has the potential to be our best recruiting class yet."
Graber joins Eliza Barach, Sheridan Metcalf and Allison Northey who all signed NLI's with UW in the fall.
