Huskies Continue Bulk Of Spring Slate Starting Saturday At Portland

SEATTLE - With one exhibition game under its belt held in early March, Washington men's soccer now heads into the bulk of its spring schedule beginning with a match at the University of Portland, Sat., April 4, at 1 p.m.
Saturday's kick-off time is a change from the Huskies' original schedule. Washington's spring slate also includes a home contest with Seattle University on Friday, April 10, at Husky Soccer Field (4:30 p.m.) and two more road contests at Gonzaga in Spokane (Sat., April 25, 2 p.m.) and at Seattle Pacific's Interbay Stadium (Fri., May 1, 7 p.m.).
The Huskies will take on Sounders FC on April 21 but that match is closed to the public.
Washington opened its spring exhibition campaign back on March 6 with a 2-1 loss to the University of British Columbia. Freshman forward Dylan Tucker-Gangnes scored the Huskies' goal and was assisted by redshirt-freshman defender Jamie Finch and junior defender Adam Lang. Junior Rylan Hawkins and true freshman Brooks Hopp shared time manning the net.
Washington is coming off a 2008 season during which it posted an 8-8-2 overall record and finished in a tie for fourth in the Pac-10 standings with a 3-5-2 league record.
