Dawgs Host Lewis-Clark State Tonight

May 20, 2008
SEATTLE - The Washington baseball team opens its final homestand of the season this evening at Husky Ballpark as Lewis-Clark State visits for a 5:00 p.m. game. The game will air live on KIXI AM-880 and fans can watch live video here at gohuskies.com.
Washington (31-20 overall, 10-11 in the Pac-10) will send sophomore right-hander Cam Nobles to the mound. Lewis-Clark State (53-5 on the season) was ranked No. 2 in the final regular-season NAIA poll and will host the NAIA World Series this weekend in Lewiston, Idaho. The Warriors have swept their regional and super regional rounds the past two weekends.
The Huskies will remain at home for the final weekend of the regular season this Friday through Sunday when No. 16 Stanford visits Husky Ballpark for a three-game series. With only two and a half games separating second and eighth place in the current Pac-10 standings, there's plenty on the line this week for nearly every team in the league, in terms of getting into the 64-team NCAA tournament.
The tournament field will be announced Monday morning at 9:00 a.m. on ESPN.
