Three Huskies Earn Academic Honors

WALNUT CREEK, Calif. - Three Washington baseball players earned honors as the Pac-10's 2007 All-Academic Baseball teams were announced today. Sophomore Brett Kaluza was named to the second team while junior Matt Stevens and sophomore Tyler Cheney received honorable mention.
Kaluza, an outfielder from Sammamish (Skyline HS) boasts a 3.48 grade point average in arts & sciences. Stevens, an outfielder from Lake Stevens (Lake Stevens HS), has a 3.22 GPA in history while Cheney, a pitcher from Richland (Richland HS) carries a 3.48 average in arts & sciences.
The Huskies' season came to an end last weekend when the Huskies took two of three from California to finish the year with a 29-27 overall record and an 11-13 conference mark, good for fifth place in the Pac-10.
