Huskies End Spring Season With 1-0 Victory Over Portland

SEATTLE - The Washington men's soccer team wrapped a successful spring season with a 1-0 victory over Portland, April 29, at Husky Soccer Field. The Huskies went 2-0-1 over their last three spring matches, also recording a win over the Seattle Sounders and playing to a draw versus Oregon State.
Junior Kevin Forrest, returning from a redshirt year due to injury, scored the gamewinner versus Portland and was assisted by former Pilot Bobbak Talebi. It was Forrest's third goal in as many matches. Redshirt freshmen goalkeepers Rylan Hawkins and Jordan Jennings shared the shutout.
The Huskies will now set their sights to the fall and their season opener versus UC Davis, Friday, Aug. 25, at 7 p.m. at Husky Soccer Field.
