WALNUT CREEK, Calif. - Washington senior Jean-Noel Insausti has been named the Pac-10 Men's Tennis Player of the Week for Apr. 10 - 16, Commissioner Tom Hansen announced today.
Insausti, from Souraide, France, helped Washington to a sweep of the Los Angeles schools last weekend, notching two three-set tiebreak singles wins, including the clinching match in the Huskies' upset over No. 7 UCLA. Insausti, ranked 90th in the nation, upset then-No. 78 Mathieu Dehaine, 4-6, 6-4, 7-6 (5) in the No. 3 singles position.
