The activities had to directly affect students and could include reward and recognition programs, inspirational guest speakers and mentoring programs "Reading is essential to the future success of our children," said Lois Maag, zone community relations manager, Starbucks Coffee Company. "This year, we are pleased to be able to offer seven grants and touch the lives of more students in our community."
