Husky Golfers in 10th Place at Pac-10s
Washington sophomore Brock Mackenzie shot rounds of 75 and 70 to stand 16th overall at 145. Oregon State's Michael Jurgensen and Stanford's Jim Seki share the lead at 6-under 138. Seki's opening round score of 66 was the lowest 18-hole total during the first day's competition.
John Robertson was 34th overall for the Huskies at 149. Washington's Dan Potter was 43rd at 151, Corey Prugh was 47th at 152, Derek Berg was 50th at 153 and Conner Robbins was 54th at 155.
The Huskies opened play by shooting 370 during the first 18 holes on Thursday, placing them in eighth place overall.
The second round of the tournament will take place Friday followed by the final 18 holes of play on Saturday.
