Husky Men's Golfers Finish 14th at ASU Invitational

Tempe, AZ - The Washington men's golf team placed 14th at Arizona State's Thunderbird Invitational. The Huskies shot 869 and were led by sophomore Dan Potter, who carded a 2-under 216 to finish 31st overall. It marked the first time this season Potter has led the Huskies in scoring.
Texas shot a tournament-record 32-under 832 to win the event. Arizona State was second at 26-under 838. TCU's Bret Guetz shot 16-under 200 to win medalist honors and break the tournament scoring record by one stroke.
Washington's other golfers were by John Robertson, who shot 218 to finish 52nd. Brock Mackenzie and Corey Prugh both shot 219 and tied for 57th. Senior Gordy Scutt finished 86th at 235.
The Huskies next tournament will be the Pac-10 Championships April 25-27 at Oregon State.
