HBO Real Sports to Feature Curtis Williams

Seattle, WA - HBO Real Sports will broadcast a feature story on former Washington football player Curtis Williams Monday, June 18 at 10 p.m. PT during its monthly magazine show. The segment will focus on Williams and his family's attempts to change the restrictions in a NCAA insurance policy limiting the amount of at-home care he can receive.
On Wednesday, June 6 Williams underwent a procedure at the Stanford Medical Center where a pacemaker-type device was implanted to stimulate his diaphragm and assist with his breathing. In early July doctors will begin the process of taking Williams off of a ventilator, which has assisted his breathing since he suffered his spinal cord injury on Oct. 28 in a football game at Stanford.
