TEMPE, Ariz.-The Washington women's golf team finished the first round at the bottom of the field with a score of 321 in the first round of the NCAA West Regional. Sophomore Kelli Kamimura posted the only Husky score below 80 with mark of 76 in round one. The University of Tulsa is two strokes ahead of the pack, 6-over at 294. Arizona and Stanford are positioned to threaten the lead with team scores of 296 and 297, respectively.
Tulsa teammates Stacy Prammanasudh and Maiko Senda currently share the lead in the individual field, both women carding a 70. Miriam Nagl of ASU and Angela Stanford of TCU are tied at third with scores of 71.
The NCAA West Regional will be decided in two more rounds with the second round tomorrow morning.
