UW Women's Golfers Earn All-Conference Honors
April 27, 2000
Junior Elisha Au earned a spot on the second team All-Pac-10 list following the conference tournament April 24-26. Au finished the three-day tournament tied for sixth place, the highest individual finish for Washington. The Hawaii native has made three top-10 appearances this season, her highest being a team-leading fifth-place finish at the NCAA Fall Preview, last September.
Sophomore Kelli Kamimura also received Pac-10 honors, picking up an honorable mention on the conference list. Kamimura had a 32nd-place finish at the conference tournament, and has made four top-10 appearances this season, including a second-place finish which lead Washington to the team title at the California Collegiate.
Last year, Au earned an honorable mention and Kamimura became the first UW freshman receive first-team conference recognition following the Pac-10 Championship.
Washington expects to receive a bid to the NCAA West Regional next Monday.
