UW Women's Golf in Seventh at Pac-10 Championship

EUGENE, Ore. - The Washington women's golf team combined for a team total of 311 in the first round of play at the Pac-10 Championships and sits in seventh place. USC leads the field after firing a 292 over the par 72, 5,557-yard Eugene Country Club course. Arizona is next in line for the team title, seven strokes off the lead with a score of 299.
Washington junior Elisha Au made the only Husky appearance in the top-20 on day one, a score of 76 will lead her to the second round tied at 18th. Senior Andrea Cordova had the next lowest score for the Huskies after taking 77 strokes. Fellow senior Mendy Cooper also shot a 77, but is entered in the tournament as an individual.
UCLA's Amanda Moltke-Leth is leading the individual field with a score of 70. Candie Kung of USC, Jill Gomric of Arizona and Anika Heuser of Oregon are close behind at 71.
The Pac-10 women meet for two more rounds, Tuesday, April 25 and Wednesday, April 26.
