Riesenman Will Participate at NCAA Gym Championships

Seattle - Washington senior Lauren Riesenman will participate at the 2000 NCAA Women's Gymnastics Championships in Boise on Thursday, April 13 at 12 p.m PT. She qualified as an at-large competitor at the NCAA Region I Championship on April 1.
She finished seventh at that meet with a score of 39.075. Riesenman was one of 12 at-large competitors selected for the NCAAs based on her regional score. Riesenman is the only member of the Husky team who qualified for this year's championships.
This year's competition will be the fourth straight NCAA Championship appearance for Riesenman. She also qualified as an at-large participate as a junior and was a member of the Husky teams that participated in the NCAA Championships as a freshman and sophomore. She earned All-American honors as a freshman on floor exercise. Last year she placed 13th in her session in the all-arounds at the NCAAs.
Riesenman will compete with the BYU team in Thursday's first session. Her rotation will begin on floor and then move to vault, bars and beam.
