Washington Re-Launches Official Athletic Site

CARLSBAD, Calif. - The University of Washington athletic department, in conjunction with Student Advantage's FANSonly Network, is expanding its efforts to provide fans with comprehensive coverage of Husky athletics through a complete redesign and re-launch of its comprehensive official athletic website located at http://www.gohuskies.com. The re-launch, which became live today, is the only official source of information, merchandise, multimedia and more for the Washington athletic department.
Washington's official athletic website will expand its efforts to provide Husky fans with complete information on all Husky sports. Also included are photos, audio and video clips, event coverage, rosters, schedules and interactive promotions and games. Throughout the year, the site will also offer opportunities to interact online with UW players and coaches. Fans can also purchase officially licensed merchandise through the site's online store, with proceeds from each sale benefiting the athletic department.
"We are certainly excited about the new look and functionality of our redesigned website," said University of Washington Director of Athletics, Barbara Hedges. "We think this will make it much easier for Husky fans to get the latest news and information on Washington's athletic teams. It is definitely more reflective of our Purple Pride.

Through GoHuskies.com, computer users will be able to access virtually anything they would want to know regarding Husky athletics. Game coverage within minutes of the event's completion, player and coach biographies, statistics and special coach and student-athlete profiles will be updated on the site on a regular basis. The site also includes a feature for fans to register for updates to be delivered to the registrant's email account on a weekly basis.
The site will continue to be a part of Student Advantage's FANSonly Network, which will help distribute Washington Husky news and information through its hub site located at www.fansonly.com.
