Men's Tennis Player Advances in Texas

AUSTIN, Texas - Washington's sophomore men's tennis player Robert Kendrick (3-0) continued his superb play in the All-American Championships defeating 54th-ranked Rafael Fontes of Southwestern Louisiana 6-3, 6-3. His advancement into the quarterfinal round is the farthest any Husky has ever advanced in the tournament.
The 21st-ranked Kendrick has not dropped a set in the tournament and defeated three ranked players, two of which were higher ranked. He faces 24th-ranked Justin O'Neal of Florida tomorrow afternoon.
