Men's Golf Finishes 4th at Duck Invite

EUGENE, Ore. -- Rob Rashell finished three-under-par at the Duck Invitational helping Washington to a third place finish. The Washington State Amateur Champion posted two sub-par rounds on his way to his third consecutive top-10 finish. He carded a 54-hole tournament total of 213 for the tournament, played at the Emerald Valley Golf Course in Eugene, Ore.
The Huskies, defending champions of the tournament, improved scores in each round finishing a 866. Oregon State won the tournament firing a two-under 862, followed by Nevada at 865.
Washington also got a top-10 performance from sophomore Scott Kral, who posted a 68 in Tuesday's final round to place 6th overall with a 54-hole total of 216. Senior John Moscrip turned in a solid performance with an even-par 72 on Tuesday, placing in 19th overall. Darren Slackman and Brian Nosler rounded out the Washington scoring tying for 28th with 228. Robb Bergeson led the four Huskies that participated as individuals finishing with 223 over the 54-holes.
Oregon State's Anthony Arividson, who carded a tournament best 67 during the first round, claimed medalist honors by finishing at six-under for the tournament at 210.
