Men's soccer Team Adds Five To 1999 Roster

SEATTLE - The Washington soccer team, which won the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation title last year, has signed five players to national letters of intent for the 1999 season, including four from Washington. All five players' senior seasons will take place this spring.
Kyle Fukuchi earned league player of the year honors as a junior while playing for Mililani High School in Haleiwa, Hawai'i. The 5-9 midfielder was the league's regular-season leading scorer last year. He also was a starting member of the ODP regional team in Florida this past November.
Scott Grazier of Issaquah earned honorable mention honors twice while helping Liberty High School win three state championships. A 5-11 midfielder, Grazier also is a member of the ODP Region 4 squad which competed in San Diego in January.
Dayo Oyetuga, a 5-10 forward from Everett, helped Everett High School place fourth in the state tournament in 1998. He earned all-area honors and was named the most inspirational player on his high school squad. His club team won three state championships.
Troy Ready of Spokane earned first-team all-league and league MVP honors while playing at Mead High School, helping the squad win the league championship four times. The 5-9 midfielder plays for the Spokane Shadow, a U.S.I.S.L. team, and helped his club team win the state championship twice.
Zac Tallman, a 6-0 defender from Gig Harbor, earned first-team all-league honors as a junior while helping Gig Harbor High School finish third in the league. He has scored 10 goals in each of the last two seasons. He recently was selected to the U-18 national team pool.
Washington finished 16-4 last year and has advanced to the NCAA tournament a school-record four straight years.
