Huskies Shut-out Pacific On The Road

STOCKTON, Calif. - The Washington women's tennis team improved their season record to 3-0 when they shut-out Pacific (1-3) on Thursday in the Hal Nelson Tennis Center. The Huskies are ranked 42nd by the latest ITA poll.
Sophomore Kristina Kraszewski led the Huskies with a 6-3, 3-6, 6-1 win over Portland's Susanne Bertel at the No.1 singles slot. This win imporved 22nd-ranked Kraszewski's overall record to 9-3. In doubles action, Kraszewski teamed with Ilona Kordonskaya to defeat Portland's tandem of Bertel and Marcela Sanchez, 8-3, at No.1 doubles. The Husky duo now owns a 7-3 overall record.
Tomorrow the Huskies will commence Pac-10 play on the road with a match against fourth-ranked Cal at 1:30 pm.
