Freshman ousted in straight sets.

ATHENS, Ga. -- Freshman Robert Kendrick's season came to an end today in the second round of the NCAA singles championships held in Athens, Ga. The 39th-ranked Kendrick fell to Stanford's 24th-ranked Paul Goldstein in straight sets, 6-3, 6-4.
Kendrick finished the year with a 27-12 record, earned second-team All Pac-10 honors and was named the Region VIII Freshman of the Year. His 27 wins this season tied him for third-place on Washington's most wins in one season list.
