NCAA Record Earns National Honor For Moll
April 20, 2026 | Track & Field
SEATTLE – Husky National Champion and NCAA Record-holder Hana Moll was named the co-National Women's Athlete of the Week today by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association. Moll broke her own NCAA Record on Saturday in the pole vault at the Mt. SAC Relays in Walnut, California.
Moll had her first collegiate competition since winning her third NCAA title at the 2026 NCAA Indoor Championships in mid-March. She competed once in Melbourne, Australia in-between NCAA Indoors and Saturday's Mt. SAC Relays, during the UW spring break, but this was her first competition of any kind in April.
Hana made 15-feet, 9-inches, on a first attempt to better the previous meet record by eight inches. It tied the Hilmer Lodge Stadium record as well, held by former Olympic gold medalist Ekaterina Stefanidi since 2021. Moll took three attempts at a lifetime-best of 16-1 3/4 but did not clear it.
She now leads the NCAA outdoor rankings by eight inches over the No. 2 vaulter. This was Moll's fourth time making at least 15-9, or 4.80-meters, the other three all came indoors.
