
Husky Student-Athletes Set Record With 3.52 GPA

SEATTLE -- University of Washington student-athletes earned a record 3.52 departmental GPA during the 2025 autumn quarter. For the first time ever, every UW team held a team GPA above a 3.30.
It was the ninth consecutive quarter above a 3.35 collective GPA and the fourth consecutive quarter all 22 teams earned a 3.0 team GPA or better.

About Washington
Washington athletic teams have claimed 58 team national championships across 12 different sports, beginning with its first titles in 1923 in men's rowing and women's rifle, and counting its most recent national championship in men's soccer (2025). Traditions of Washington Athletics include 320 Olympians and Paralympians, originating The Wave during the third quarter of a 1981 football game, the familiar Huskies nickname in 1922, and its iconic Sailgating activities and encompassing view at what is known as The Greatest Setting in college football.

- 219 student-athletes made Dean's List (3.50+ quarter GPA in 12+ numerically graded credits)
- 466 student-athletes earned a 3.0 or better (88%)
- 40 student-athletes earned a perfect 4.0 GPA (minimum 12 graded credits or final quarter, does not include students that changed to satisfactory/not satisfactory grading or who have incomplete/no credit grades)
- Women's Cross Country led all teams with an impressive 3.85 team GPA
- Small team high GPAs (less than 20 student-athletes): Women's Cross Country and Men's Cross Country
- Large team high GPAs (20+ student-athletes): Women's Indoor Track & Field and Baseball
- Most improved teams from Spring 2025: Women's Cross Country and Baseball
