
Back-To-Back B1G Player Of The Week Honors For Coleman

SEATTLE – For the second consecutive week, Washington running back Jonah Coleman has been named Big Ten Co-Offensive Player of the Week, the conference office announced today.
Coleman was also named the East-West Shrine Bowl Offensive Player of the Week.
In the win over UC Davis on Saturday, Coleman tied a modern school record with five rushing touchdowns. He joins Hugh McElhenny (vs. Washington State, 1950) and Corey Dillon (vs. UCLA, 1996) on the list. Coleman rushed for 111 yards on 15 carries in his record-setting performance and caught a pass for 24 yards.
In addition, he also surpassed 2,500 career rushing yards, finishing the game with 2,584 good for eighth-most among active players.
Following the first two weeks of the season, Coleman ranks first in the FBS in rushing touchdowns (7), total touchdowns (7), scoring (21.0) and total points scored (42). He also ranks in the Top 5 in all purpose yards (180.00), rushing yards (288) and points responsible for (42).
The Huskies have a week off before returning to action at Washington State in the Boeing Apple Cup on Saturday, September 20.
