Moll Named Indoor Big Ten Field Athlete Of The Year
March 19, 2025 | Track & Field
SEATTLE -- NCAA Champion and Big Ten Champion Amanda Moll added to her accolades today as she was named the Big Ten Women's Field Athlete of the Year for the 2025 indoor season. The sophomore set four collegiate records and took her first national title last Friday in Virginia with a meet record clearance.
Moll, the sophomore from Olympia's Capital High School, went 1-2 at NCAAs with her twin sister, Hana, as both made 15-5 at the Virginia Beach Sports Center. Their 18 points between them helped Washington score a program-record 31 points, and finish in a tie for fourth in the team standings, easily the best in program history.
Amanda has been named the USTFCCCA National Athlete of the Week twice this season and she and Hana were both on the most recent Bowerman Award Watch List for the top athlete in collegiate track & field.
Her season went to unprecedented heights starting at the Don Kirby Elite Invite in Albuquerque in February where she broke the NCAA Record three separate times, becoming the first collegiate to clear 16-feet. Moll then went higher at Big Ten Indoors to win that title at 16-1 1/4.
Washington will head into the outdoor season next week starting with the Texas Relays.
