Great Osobor Named All-Big Ten Honorable Mention

ROSEMONT, Ill. – Washington senior big man Great Osobor has been named to the All-Big Ten Honorable Mention Team, announced Tuesday by the league office.
The English native put up gargantuan numbers all season long, finishing the regular season as the Big Ten's only player to lead his team in points, assists and rebounds.
Osobor finished the season with eight double doubles, the most in a single season by a Husky since Isaiah Stewart posted 14 in 2019-20. The 6-8 forward paced UW in rebounds in 20 games, scoring in 11 games and assists in 14 games.
Osobor ended the season ranking third in the Big Ten in steals per game at 1.89, sitting fifth in rebounding with 8.0 boards per game. He also led the league in free throw attempts with 206 shots from the charity stripe.
The big man's dynamic skillset led to some stat lines not seen in major conference college basketball in many years. In UW's season opener, Osobor posted 15 points, 17 rebounds and six steals, becoming the first Power-6 player to do so since Blake Griffin in 2008.
Osobor followed with seven steals in the Huskies' win over Seattle Pacific, the most in a game for UW since Matisse Thybulle in 2021. The former Mountain West Player of the Year is one of four major conference players with multiple 6+ steal games in a season over the last 20 years.
In addition to Osobor's all-conference nod, senior Wilhelm Breidenbach was also named to the Big Ten Sportsmanship Team.
