
GymDawgs Add Four To Their 2026–27 Squad

SEATTLE – Washington Gymnastics welcomes four new GymDawgs to the 2026–27 squad, as they each signed their Big Ten Athletic Scholarship Agreement this morning. Andie Buzanis (Dallas, Texas), Ava NovoGradac (Dublin, Calif.), Jordyn Castillo (Bonney Lake, Wash.), and Olivia Choi (Issaquah, Wash.) will join the Huskies and look to make an immediate impact on Montlake.
"Andie is an exceptional athlete and high-achieving student with fierce competitiveness and tremendous heart. Her performance quality makes her gymnastics captivating to watch, and that presence will shine on the collegiate stage. As a national champion on floor and vault, we know she will be a powerful presence on our team and help propel our program forward in meaningful ways. We can't wait to welcome Andie to Montlake," said Head Coach Jessa Hansen Parker.
"Ava embodies everything it means to be a Husky. She is a dedicated student, a driven athlete, and a teammate who radiates positivity in the gym. As one of the top bar workers in the country, she will make an immediate impact on the bars and help elevate our team across all events. Ava's character, focus, and passion for excellence make her a perfect addition to the Dawg Pack. We are thrilled to welcome her and excited for all the contributions she will bring to our program," said Hansen Parker.
"Jordyn brings a competitive spark, powerful gymnastics, and limitless potential. Growing up in the Seattle area, she has a deep passion for UW and everything it represents. Her infectious energy, dedication as a student, teammate, and athlete makes her a perfect fit for our program. We cannot wait to welcome Jordyn into the Dawg Pack and watch her make an immediate and lasting impact," said Hansen Parker.

Olivia's passion for the sport, strong connection to her community, and dedication to excellence in the classroom make her a perfect fit for Montlake. Andie Buzanis joins Washington from Texas Dreams Gymnastics in Dallas, Texas. A decorated Level 10 gymnast, Buzanis is the 2025 Level 10 National Floor and Vault Champion, 2025 Regional Floor Champion, and 2025 State All-Around, Vault, Beam, and Floor Champion. She also claimed the 2024 State Vault title, and in 2022 was the Level 9 Western and Regional Floor and Beam Champion. Academically, Buzanis is a member of the National Honor Society and has been recognized on the Dean's Honor List.It's official!

Ava NovoGradac, from Dublin, California, trained at Royal Gymnastics. NovoGradac is a 2022–2025 National Qualifier and the 2024 National Bars Champion. A standout in the classroom as well, she ranks 15th in her class and has earned High Honor Roll recognition throughout high school.Next stop, Montlake. ?

Jordyn Castillo, from Bonney Lake, Washington, trained locally at Ascend Gymnastics. Castillo is the 2022 Western National Vault Champion and a three-time Level 10 National Qualifier. A Washington native, she has dreamed of competing for the Huskies and representing her home state on the collegiate stage.Another Dawg in the pack ??

Olivia Choi, from Issaquah, Washington, trained at Pacific Reign Gymnastics. Choi is a three-time National Qualifier, 2024 Nastia Liukin Cup Qualifier, and the 2024 National Beam Champion. She is also a three-time Regional Champion and has finished in the top ten nationally in her age group three times. Academically, Choi is an AP Scholar with Honor and an inducted member of Key Club.Dawg status: activated ??
