
Husky Basketball Returns To Montlake With Fan Upgrades

SEATTLE – UW basketball is back! The 2025-26 seasons tip off Monday night with an opening-week doubleheader featuring women's basketball vs. Seattle U at 5 p.m. followed by men's basketball vs. Arkansas–Pine Bluff at 8 p.m.
Fans can experience two games for the price of one as part of Washington's doubleheader promotion. Simply show your ticket from one game at the Southwest Box Office to receive a complimentary ticket to the other!
As the Dawgs return to the hardwood, fans can look forward to exciting upgrades at Alaska Airlines Arena. With new seating, fresh food and beverage offerings, enhanced gameday presentation, and upgraded technology, there's never been a better time to catch Husky Hoops on Montlake.
What's New in 2025-26
Upgraded Seating for a More Comfortable Experience
This season, fans will enjoy brand-new, upgraded pro-style chairback seats in every seat up to Row 20 above the concourse. Chairback seats now feature increased legroom and improved comfort, while all ADA seating has been upgraded to enhance accessibility and sightlines for every guest.
Pep Band, Elevated
The Husky Pep Band has a new home on the concourse level above Section 5, bringing their energy closer to the action. The new location amplifies sound throughout the bowl and strengthens the Huskies' home-court advantage.
Expanded Food & Beverage Options
Fans can enjoy a refreshed concessions experience this season, featuring new menus, fresh flavors, and local favorites. Expect a wider variety of fan-favorite items and faster, more efficient service to enhance the gameday experience. Fans can also enjoy their favorite PepsiCo beverages—including Pepsi®, Pepsi® Zero Sugar, Diet Pepsi®, MTN DEW®, Mug® Root Beer, and STARRY®—served in durable, reusable cups. New this year, fans will also receive reusable lids, along with expanded signage and conveniently located cup return bins integrated into existing waste stations throughout the arena, making it even easier to refresh, return and reuse.
New Husky Basketball Training Facility is Open
Construction is complete on the state-of-the-art complex, which debuted with a ribbon-cutting ceremony earlier this month. Big Ten Studio Opens in 2026
Coming in Spring 2026, the new Big Ten studio will serve as both a broadcast hub and a unique hospitality space on gamedays. This dynamic addition will bring fans closer to the program through behind-the-scenes coverage, special programming, and a vibrant space to celebrate Husky Hoops in true Big Ten style.

From an all-new graphics package and cohesive branding across video boards to new intro videos, animations, and lighting effects, fans will notice a refreshed, high-energy atmosphere at every game.

Women's Basketball Fan Experiences
8-Minute Mingle
Returning for its second year, the 8-Minute Mingle gives fans the chance to meet the Huskies on the court for photos and autographs. Fans can enter the court from Section 9 or via the Hall of Fame elevator.
First Time Out Commemorative Certificate & Sticker
Celebrate the season with a keepsake! Fans can pick up a commemorative certificate and sticker at Guest Services while supplies last.
Pom-Poms Behind the Baskets
Starting Saturday, Dec. 13 vs. Green Bay and continuing for the remainder of the season, fans seated behind the baskets will receive pom-poms to help create fun foul-shot distractions and energize the Huskies on the court.

Let Purple Reign!
The Dawg Pack will be louder and prouder than ever this year. Every men's home game, 300 purple pom-poms will fill the lower bowl of Section 1 to unleash a sea of purple and energy on opponents.
The Minute of Madness
Just before tipoff, the Dawg Pack comes alive. Join Harry the Husky and our new Dawg Pack Party Guy as the crowd erupts during the Minute of Madness.
Dawg Pack Loyalty Reward
The first 500 students to attend six regular-season men's home games will earn a free exclusive Dawg Pack t-shirt, redeemable starting at the men's hoops game vs. Ohio State game on Jan. 11. Attendance will be tracked by the Husky Ticket Office — scan in at each game to prove your loyalty! Winners will be notified via email upon completion.
Cheer Like a Pro
The revamped Dawg Pack Playbook returns this year with updated chants, player info, and game-specific callouts to help the student section stay united. Plus, Dawg Pack Dirt returns for every Big Ten Men's game with fun facts, opponent trivia, and inside scoop to fuel your fandom.
