
GymDawgs Recognized By WCGA For Academic Excellence

MARLBORO, N.J. – On Wednesday, the Women's Collegiate Gymnastics Association announced its academic rankings for the 2023-24 academic year, with Washington ranking among the nation's elite.
The Huskies' 3.75 team GPA is the 11th highest in the nation among 87 ranked programs. With 16 GymDawgs earning at least a 3.5 cumulative GPA, 88.89 percent of the UW roster qualifies, the seventh-highest percentage in the nation.
Leading the way for the GymDawgs was senior informatics major Taylor Russon, who is one of 294 gymnasts across the country to earn a perfect 4.00 GPA. Russon recently announced that she will return to UW for her fifth and final season of competition in 2024-25.
