SEATTLE – In the latest NCAA Academic Progress Rate (APR) release, University of Washington student-athletes scored a 992 multi-year rate. This marks the 11th consecutive year that Washington has scored above 980. The data showcases the continued academic excellence of Husky student-athletes.
"Washington student-athletes continue to succeed in the classroom," said UW director of athletics Pat Chun. "To advance academically on our campus requires dedication and commitment. The hard work put in by our student-athletes, partnering with our Student-Athlete Academic staff, is again evident with our APR."
Five UW teams were recognized for having an APR score in the Top 10% of all programs nationally – men's soccer, softball, women's golf, gymnastics, and women's track & field.
Highlighting Washington's academic success, the Husky women's cross country, women's track & field, men's soccer, women's basketball, gymnastics, women's golf, and softball teams ranked No. 1 in the conference while football and men's track & field were each second among their league counterparts.
Men's cross country, men's golf, men's soccer, men's tennis, men's track & field, women's basketball, women's golf, gymnastics, softball, women's soccer, beach volleyball, women's tennis, and volleyball all achieved a perfect 1,000, single-year rate, the maximum possible score.

The APR accounts for eligibility, retention and graduation and provides a measure of each team's academic performance. The APR scores released today reflect academic rates from the 2019-20, 2020-21, 2021-22 and 2022-23 academic years.
