Forward Chris Conway Signs With Washington

SEATTLE – Oakland transfer Chris Conway officially signed with the Huskies, Head Coach Danny Sprinkle announced.
A 6'9" forward from Naperville, Ill., Conway started 66 of 109 games in four years at Oakland. He averaged 10.0 points and 4.1 rebounds in his senior season.
"In Chris Conway we are getting an experienced forward who is coming off a career year at Oakland. He was part of an NCAA Tournament team that recorded one of the biggest upsets this year. Chris is a very good athlete and very quick for his size and will provide versatility on both ends of the court for us. He is a winner who has been on two 20-win teams at Oakland and we are thrilled to announce his commitment to the UW."
Conway started and played 33 minutes in the No. 14 Grizzlies' upset over No. 3 Kentucky in the first round of the NCAA Tournament this spring. He had a double-double (11 pts./10 reb.) in Oakland's win in the Horizon League championship. He is a career 57 percent shooter.
