March 19, 2024 | Gymnastics
SEATTLE â For the second time during her senior campaign, all-arounder Skylar Killough-Wilhelm has been tabbed this week's Pac-12 Coaches Choice.
Â
The weekly conference award comes after a career performance for Killough-Wilhelm on Senior Night on March 15, where the senior earned or tied her career-best scores on two events and all-around.
Â
The Huskies performed big on Friday evening in a quad with BYU, Southern Utah and Sacramento State, putting up their second best score of the season and second 197+ with a 197.175.
Â
Killough-Wilhelm won the all-around as she boasted a 39.700, a new best mark for the West Des Moines native. Her 39.700 is the fourth highest all-around score earned this season in the conference.Â
She tied a meet-best 9.975 to set a new career-high on floor and tied her career-high 9.900 on vault.
Â
Killough-Wilhelm added a 9.925 on bars and a 9.900 on beam to round out her 9.9+ night on all four events.
Â
This is the second Pac-12 Coaches Choice for Killough-Wilhelm this season (also earned it on Feb. 13) and third overall in her career. Lana Navarro was named the league's Coaches Choice last week (March 12).
Killough-Wilhelm is currently ranked fifth in the Pac-12 in the all-around. She is ranked in the top 20 in the conference across all four events -- she is tied for 18th on vault, 13th on bars, tied for 10th on beam and tied for 12th on floor. She is also ranked 26th nationally on beam.Â
