Reynolds Named Pac-12 Player Of The Week
April 10, 2023 | Softball
SEATTLE – For the fourth time in her career – and first this season – Sami Reynolds has been Pac-12 Player of the Week, the conference announced on Monday afternoon.
Last weekend, Reynolds hit .625/.750/1.500 with a pair of home runs and seven RBI against Cal. She hit home runs in back-to-back games for the first time this season, doing so in the Friday doubleheader. In game two, Reynolds was a triple shy of hitting for the cycle, going 3-for-4 with four RBI and a stolen base.
With her five career Pac-12 awards, Reynolds holds the most conference weekly awards for a Husky hitter. Only seven others have more weekly awards in their career, all pitchers: Danielle Lawrie (18), Gabbie Plain (14), Taran Alvelo (9), Jennifer Spediacci (9), Eve Gaw (6), Kelley Lynch (5) and Stephanie Burns (5).
This is the fourth conference honor for the Huskies this season and Reynolds joins Madison Huskey as Pac-12 Players of the Week. Alana Johnson and Ruby Meylan have been tabbed Freshman of the Week this year.
This weekend, the Huskies head to Oregon State for a three-game series in Corvallis. That series begins Friday, April 14 with all three games airing on Oregon State Live Stream 3.
