
GymDawgs Score 195.650 at Regional Final to Cap Off Season

LOS ANGELES -- The Washington gymnastics team finished their 2023 season with a hard-fought battle against No. 4 UCLA. No. 5 Utah, and No. 13 Missouri in the NCAA Regional Final Saturday night.
The GymDawgs put up a team score of 195.650 to finish in fourth place in their first Regional Final since 2018. Utah and UCLA will advance to Nationals as the top two finishers of the meet. Utah finished with a 198.050 and UCLA put up a 197.925. Missouri finished third on the night with a 197.600.
Washington began the night on the dance floor, earning a 49.150. Lana Navarro and Amara Cunningham both provided 9.850s for the GymDawgs on the floor.

Cunningham finished her two performances in the first duo of events, earning a season-high 9.900 on vault as she stuck her landing beautifully.

Kennedi Davis scored a 9.850 on vault to go along with her 9.825s on floor and beam.
The Huskies struggled on bars, earning their second lowest score of the season (48.900). Lilly Tubbs and Morgan Bowles highlighted the top finishes for Washington, each notching a 9.850 in the fifth spot and anchor, respectively.

The pressure continued for the GymDawgs, who put up a 48.450 on the balance beam, the final event of the meet and of the season. This was the second lowest score on the beam this season as Washington capped off the night with a 195.650.
