
Odunze Tabbed Biletnikoff Semifinalist

Washington wide receiver Rome Odunze has been named a semifinalist for the Biletnikoff Award, presented annually to the nation's top receiver in any position by The Tallahassee Quarterback Club Foundation.
Through 11 games, Odunze ranks in the Top 10 nationally in receiving touchdowns (11; seventh), receiving yards (1,206; fifth), and receiving yards per game (109.6; fifth). He also ranks in the Top 25 in yards per reception (18.27; 22nd), total touchdowns (13; 18th), and all purpose (120.45; 24th).
Odunze is one of two Pac-12 receivers on the list, joining Oregon's Troy Franklin. The junior captain ranks third all-time in UW history with 188 career receptions and third with 2,838 yards. His 11 touchdowns this season is tied for fifth in program history.
Fans may vote once daily on the Biletnikoff Award FanVote page. The winner of the fan vote will get an additional vote The three finalists will be announced on Tuesday, Nov. 28 with the winner being announced at The Home Depot College Football Awards, live on ESPN on Dec. 8.
The semifinalists, finalists, and award recipient are selected by the highly distinguished Biletnikoff Award National Selection Committee, a group of 650 prominent college football journalists, commentators, announcers, Biletnikoff Award winners and other former receivers.
Fred Biletnikoff, a member of the pro and college football halls of fame, was a consensus All-America receiver at Florida State University and an All-Pro receiver for the Oakland Raiders. He caught 589 passes for 8,974 yards and 76 touchdowns in his 14-year Raiders career from 1965 through 1978. Fred was the Most Valuable Player of Super Bowl XI.
