November 16, 2023 | Men's Golf
SANTA CLARITA, Calif. โ The NCAA has published the first edition of the new College Golf Rankings, powered by Clippd, with Washington ranked No. 4 overall.
ย
The Rankings, which use an average based scoring system and will be used to determine regional bids for NCAA Postseason play, are devised by Professor Mark Broadie for the NCAA. The rankings cover teams and individuals competing in NCAA, NAIA and NJCAA tournaments.
ย
The No. 4 ranking places the Huskies at the top of the Pac-12, ahead of No. 6 Arizona State, No. 16 Cal, No. 17 Oregon and No. 19 Arizona.
ย
The Huskies competed in four highly competitive tournaments during the fall season, finishing in the top four of each, including a dominating team championship at the Husky Invitational.
ย
The Dawgs also boast four players inside the top-70 in Clippd's individual rankings, including a pair inside the top 20, the only program in the Pac-12 able to make either claim.
ย
Petr Hruby and Taehoon Song come in back-to-back in the rankings at No. 18 and No. 19 respectively. Meanwhile, freshman Finn Koelle has impressed in his first collegiate season, ranked No. 65, followed closely by Teddy Lin at No. 69.
