Brailsford Named Semifinalist For Shaun Alexander Freshman Of The Year

Washington offensive lineman Parker Brailsford is among the 14 semifinalists for the Shaun Alexander Freshman of the Year Award, The Maxwell Football Club announced today.

Brailsford has started in every game of the season thus far for the Huskies splitting time between right guard and center. Following Washington's win over Michigan State, Brailsford was named the Pac-12 Offensive Lineman of the Week. This season, Brailsford and the offensive line has helped the Huskies average 8.0 yards per play, rush for an average of 102.3 yards per game and 501.3 yards of total offense per game.

The Shaun Alexander Freshman Player of the Year Award is an honor given each year to the most outstanding freshman player in college football. Named after Shaun Alexander since 2018, this award recognizes the exceptional performance and impact made by these players on their respective teams throughout the season. The winning formula evaluates players based on Talent, Character, Ambassador and Legend.ย

Finalists for theย 6thย annual Shaun Alexander Freshman of the Year award will be announced on November 29, 2023 and the winner on December 27, 2023. The formal presentation of this award will be made at the Maxwell Football Club Awards in March of 2024.
